Nossas Intercabistas do Japão – Julia e Rina

Mensagem recebida do Distrito 2780

Dear Friends in Rotary,

I am really thankful to your words of encouragement.

All Rotary Youth Exchange Students in Rotary International District 2780 Kanagawa are fine.

We did not get much damage by the Earthquake and Tsunami.

As you may concern about the nuclear power station in Fukushima, there has a serious situation. Fortunately, here this area is 300km far away from Fukushima. Here will not get damage by radiation. So please be assured that it should not be a problem for us now.

Even though here is safe, we would like to respect students’ feeling.

If a student would like to go home, we will let you know first then send him/her back to your District. We will inform them this situation and hear from them how they want to do.

I understand how much students’ families are worrying now.

If they would like their son/daughter to come back home soon, please let us know it from you. We will discuss about this with student(s) soon.

When we recognize it is an emergency, we will send them back home immediately.

We, Youth Exchange Committee District 2780, would like to provide them the rest of exchange days though we are totally respect students’ will.

If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Sincerely,

District 2780 Youth Exchange Chair,

Takao Kikuchi
